Unsealed petition served and other query

Hi Guys, and hopefully a quick simple one but I have no idea on this.

I received the creditors petition today, the 6th, with the hearing scheduled for the 20th.

In addition, it was served UNSEALED which I had arranged to take place outside my place of work. I really did not notice or think anything of this at the time as I was in something of a rush.

Do I raise this with the process servers, the issuing solicitors who used them (I will not hold my breath with them), or elsewhere?

There was no additional paperwork included apart from the petition itself and liability orders all stapled together.

Should there have been any other paperwork included apart from the above or is that it? I don't believe so but not totally sure. Would it be the case then that I would receive no further correspondence until after the bankruptcy hearing?

Thank you for any help available.

Totally mixed the dates up with something totally unrelated.

Petition served today, the 17th, hearing for June 6th.

You wouldn’t receive anything other than the petition, but it should have been sealed. It’s odd because you have a date for the bankruptcy hearing so its definitely been to court already. I would suggest you email the petitioning creditor’s solicitors.

    Thank you for the reply.

The petition has been to court which was presented to them on April 13th and with a hearing date then set for June 6th.

The petition itself was simply folded in half when presented to me and as I mentioned, due to being rushed with work  I thought nothing of it at the time.

I was just concerned that I may have been missing some additional paperwork which, as I thought, you have said not.

Would you know if I should be receiving any further correspondence or similar before the hearing or not until after?

    Thanks again

You won’t receive anything else now. You can attend the bankruptcy hearing, but 99% don’t. If you don’t (and assuming the order is made) the next thing you’ll get is a letter from the OR with an interview appointment.
