TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Sky Mobile – Hold onto the things you’d usually lose” (the “Competition”).

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. 

 

1.Entry ROUTES and Costs	Entries are restricted to one entry per person.   Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:   Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/absolute-radio/competitions/   Online entry is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	2.1 Pre-registration   Anyone interested in taking part in this competition must answer the question on the online competition page correctly and register their details, which includes agreeing to these terms and conditions. Refer to section 1 for entry route.   Registering to take part in this competition does not provide any guarantee that you will come on-air or win a prize.   2.2 Shortlisting and being invited to play the on-air game   There will be 5 chances to win the Prize Package as described in Prize 5.0 which will be executed in daily competition rounds during the Absolute Radio Breakfast Show (see 2.4 How to Win).      For each of the competition rounds, there will be a shortlist of up to 10 semi-finalists chosen by random electronic draw from all valid entries up to that point.  These semi-finalist draws will take place at the below dates/times:   - For the competition on Monday 23rd May 2022, the draw will take place at 4pm on Friday 20th May 2022.    For the competition on Tuesday 24th May 2022., the draw will take place at 4pm on Monday 23rd May 2022.    For the competition on Wednesday 25th May 2022, the draw will take place at 4pm on Tuesday 24th May 2022.    For the competition on Thursday 26th  May 2022, the draw will take place at 4pm on Wednesday 25th May 2022.    For the competition on Friday 27th May 2022, the draw will take place at 4pm on Thursday 26th  May 2022.   From the daily shortlisted semi-finalists, the Absolute Radio production team will contact 1 shortlisted entrant at random to check their availability to play the on-air game at an agreed time and date. If the shortlisted entrant cannot make the agreed date, they will forfeit their chance to enter the next round and the production team will move on to another randomly selected entrant from the short list and repeat the process until they have found someone that can play in the on air game.   Speaking to a member of the production team does not guarantee you will be invited to play the game or win the prize; only when told you are a finalist by the team will you progress to the next stage of the competition.   2.3 The Competition   The Competition will air during The Dave Berry Breakfast show on Absolute Radio between 06:00 and 10:00 Monday to Friday during the on-air competition period (see section 3. DATES). Exact timings of the competition within this broader timeframe will be given by the production team, upon contacting winners. There is the chance that some of these competition rounds will be pre-recorded prior to the show times but after the finalists have been selected.   2.4 How to win   The chosen contestant who has been selected to play the on-air game will play a competition round consisting of a maximum of 4 questions in a certain time limit. The contestant will start the game with a prize fund of £2,000, if they answer a question incorrectly, they will lose £500 from their prize fund. If they answer the question correctly, they will hold onto their fund.   However much a finalist has left in their prize fund pot at the end of the competition round will be the amount they win.     The difficulty of the questions will be determined by the Absolute Radio production team.   All final decisions rest with the Absolute Radio production team.   The Absolute Radio Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Pre-registration will be open from 00:00 on the 17th May 2022 (pre-registration start date) until 4pm on Thursday 26th May 2022(pre-registration end date)   There will be 1 x competition round broadcast every day from 23rd May 2022 (on-air start date) to the 27th May 2022 (on-air end date) during The Dave berry Breakfast Show between 06:00 – 10:00 Monday to Friday.   Entries received before the pre-registration start date or after the pre-registration end date will be invalid.   Please note Absolute Radio reserves the right to remove the competition for any event such as a public holiday.   Winner Announcement: The name of the winner will be announced on on-air after each competition round.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms. Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, will not be eligible to take part in this competition nor will anyone else at their address. If by any chance they get through to the phone lines – any prize they have been successful with will not be awarded. 5. THE PRIZE	There will be up to 1 winner per day and 5 winners in total throughout the week. Prizing is dependant on the outcome of the on air competition (see 2.4 how to win). The winner will receive a maximum of £2,000 if all 4 questions are answered correctly.   Each question is worth £500.   Prizing will be paid by BACS and the winner will therefore need to provide relevant bank details.   The Prize is provided by Bauer Media (the “Prize Provider”). We are not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery or a prize winner being unable to take up any aspect, or the entirety of the prize due to their own circumstances or restrictions.   Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable.   *Please note that due to the current Covid-19 situation, there may be delays to delivery and to the winners being contacted by Bauer Media. These may exceed the 28 days delivery period as stated in our General Terms and Conditions.

 

OTHER CONDITIONS

 

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. For SMS entries you automatically consent to receive marketing. You may opt out at any time by texting the word STOP to the relevant text shortcode number. If you have opted in to receive marketing communications, then your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

 

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
