Being hounded by CRS after Bankruptcy

Hi guys
looking for a little advice on how to deal with the cretins known as Credit Resource Services.

I was made bankrupt in April last year, with my discharge this April.

over the last couple of months I have received emails from CRS in relation to a debt that was included in my bankruptcy, I have responded with a copy of my bankruptcy order, most recently my discharge proof. Each time I have received an email stating they will send the debt back to the Client, then within a couple of weeks I get another email chasing the same debt.

The debt was included within my bankruptcy so surely they have had notification of it from the insolvency service. Is there anything I can do to stop them contacting me?

I believe CRS have a reputation of chasing statute barred debts. I’m guessing those also written off in a bankruptcy doesn’t escape them either.

Hi, this is what Citizens Advice says -

    https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/debt-and-money/debt-solutions/bankruptcy/after-you-go-bankrupt/creditors-still-chasing-you-after-you-go-bankrupt/

They advise writing to the official receiver or trustee to report such creditors who chase debts after bankruptcy discharge.

I'd also do as fatbelly, above, advises.

@fatbelly Yes that’s the bunch of Cretins

@MalMonroe Thanks, I will get in touch with the insolvency service / trustee today and make them aware of the persistent attempts from CRS

the debt is only small, so could pay it off but then I’m breaking the terms of my bankruptcy and I’m not prepared to do that. Discharged or not!

Add CRS to your email spam list and put any letters directly in the bin.

To be honest, I'd just write to CRS, the OR will only send them confirmation of your bankruptcy which you can do quicker than they can.

Just sent an email to the OR office, I’ve sent a copy of the bankruptcy order numerous times, usually followed by a response from CRS acknowledging it, and that the account will be closed and referred back to the Client , then a couple of weeks later I receive another email chasing the same debt.

Just been reviewing my bankruptcy application at time of submission (printed a copy before I submitted for my records) at time of submission the debt was being chased by Ardent Credit, at some point it was then sold onto CRS

That doesn't matter. If the debt existed prior to the bankruptcy date then it is covered by the bankruptcy and they must deal with the OR.

If you write/email that person I linked to earlier they should sort this out without the need to escalate it
