dustydigger said:Quite happy with last few months lower usage, around 200-300 less usage than last year. Good old heatwave.Ouch! checking last Septrember's total usage,I used 1100 units. So far this year for September is around 600,probably will be around 800 for the month. Last year was one of those miserable months with loads of rain, heavy mists off the sea,and those nasty sea breezes which lower the temp by about 5 degrees, though feeling like 10 degrees.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Checking out Scottish Power website,I see that the usual January review has been moved to March, but since they think that is too short a period to get accurate estimates they are - I kid you not - moving the review to March 2024 That is a total outlay of £4500plus over the 17 months...Doesnt help when they keep moving the goalposts2

At least you're going in the right direction with your usage Dusty, so it proves your carefulness is working.3

Very odd. I pay by DD, a fixed amount per month. Each month I received a bill as per my usage recorded by the smart meter. That same bill provides an estimate going forward of predicted usage for the coming 12 months. Based on the current bill, the supplier recommends or not, changes to my DD. I don’t understand the 2024 review, if the supplier already has real-time data from you.4

Auntycaz said:At least you're going in the right direction with your usage Dusty, so it proves your carefulness is working. You are so right.Previous years usage in August for instance, todays rates, would cost £175 on 2020 usage,£183 on last years level, and still £117 in my much reduced 2022 usage. Thats before the huge October tariffs pile on,of course.A mere 125% increase in my payment EEKDefinitely determined to cut down .But my credit balnce, now £493 is going to go up. Annoying to pay £66 unnecessarily this month, even if they take it off,it goes in my bank account NOT to decrease my payment. Aarrgghh!!!!!!

Right after doing yesterdays posts I started to feel cold, yet Mr D was in shirtsleeves and not complaing. Then my shoulders and arms started aching, then I really did feel cold. Realized it was a water infection starting up. Really poorly,I started shivering around 2 pm and continued till about 10pm. went to bed, wearing socks andcardigan, but off course, they made no impression, its internal temp thats messed up started to warm up a little,so goyt to sleep midnight, woke again shivering at 2 am. Slept again at 4.30,woke 6.30.All my bones are hurting, vision blurry. Not sure if its connected to B12 wearing out,who knows with my rotten immune system.Had to get up to do my asd@ delivery, should have done it yesterday, lost my slot and had to arrange an ordinary delivery. As usual had to change my browser, for some reason firefox blocks me from the asd@ site
.Its killing my back sitting at the computer.
Probably wont be back on here to post for a couple of days, takes time to recover.See you later,gators5 -
