in Cutting tax
Hi all,
Anyone had any experience/timescale guidelines on the following, I was overtaxed in March and have managed to get HMRC via the phone today to complete a tax reconciliation that shows I am owed money, how long does it take for me to be able to claim a refund. Very helpful handler at HMRC said it will show in account as they have completed the reconciliation but didn’t give a timescale

I would check first thing tomorrow morning. And if no joy check check again on Monday morning.
If it the tax overpaid is available for you to claim it should show up clearly in your Personal Tax Account.
It's likely to take a (little) bit longer to reach your account after you claim it that the time you will have to wait to be able to claim it in the first place.0 -
Thanks for the response here’s hoping it’s a quick process and available to withdraw in the next few days0
