Well, looks like that MP is a lost cause. I've just received my updated V5C form with new address on and last week I emailed the dpo at smart parking of new address and sent proof.
I guess then they have to give me the right to appeal still after my update.
Now it's a case of forgetting it until I hear more. And hopefully it won't be a court thing!
I mean seriously, they are absolute scum, they use underhanded tactics to be able to charge people. My other friends that have been caught out in the exact same car park said the signs are not obvious and it must have been a recent change because it did use to be free hence why they used it!3 -
guess then they have to give me the right to appeal still after my update. No they don't. The new code is not implemented yet. You won't get a fair appeal or any appeal at all (except in court, where we win).
But for goodness sake please promise us your friend has been signposted here in time, and knows they have 100% appeal win, by using the NEWBIES thread appeal. No saying who was driving, tell them! Such an easy one to appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ahhh ok - sorry I misread your earlier message about the code. Hopefully, they will still see sense if it goes to court etc. I guess I best prepare myself for more threatening letters from DPR in the meantime.
I've told them about everything that's been said here don't you worry for any future tickets! Unfortunately, since they got he original PPC letter back in feb they paid the initial £60 fine, they did email the landowner but they werent interested. Think they gave in too soon. They've regretted it. It's a pity mine was so delayed otherwise I could have warned them sooner!
Luckily they're parents have appealed it and are a bit more fiesty!2 -
I suspect I have another letter from the DRP today in the mail - emblazoned on the envelope is 'Don't ignore, it could cost you more'.
This will be ok won't it? I mean what I am trying to say is, I'm not gonna be owing thousands, bailiffs, CCJs and whatever else they have threatened me with?1 -
DRP = Ignore. How many times does it need to be said? 🙄Jenni x0
-
Yeah, I am going to ignore them - suppose at some point it will go back to the PPC. I mean, am I being too optimistic in hoping that it will all just be forgotten about?0

Too optimistic. Keep all letters and defend if they file a claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Finally opened said letter and this was in it, as well as the usual DRP crap. This isn't one of those offcial pre court letters? Again, i know dont take notice of DRP but you can see why people get paranoid! And sorry for asking for reassurance with this!0

Search the forum for Andrew Hunt, and laugh! No chance we haven't seen that before and you can always just find 'your' letter here each time, by doing a search.
DRP are not a law firm. No Legal Dept, no Legal Manager that we know of, and highly unlikely one whose mugshot looks like a stock photo of a white middle aged man standing outdoors, just like when people get catfished.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
