Apologies if this is the wrong place to write this. Im after some advice, ive recently started comping (1 month) and also instagram for the same amount of time. I won a couple of competitions and im still waiting for a prize from Brewers decorators and The range. I trust these to be genuine competitions. However ive received an email from DPD saying my parcel from BeValued will be delivered tomorrow. Ive googled it and a few posts seem to say ths is a scam. Should i refuse delivery? Or does anybody know if BeValued is a genuine company? Ive obviously entered competitions online so maybe it could be one of those? but ive had no notification. Im trying to be as vigilant and scam safe as i can. Any advice/help appreciated.
kind regards
Linz x

I've had two prizes arrive this way.
One late last year, which was an automatic pet feeder, which I think was from UK Mums, but wasn't 100% sure and the last one was my Amazon Fire Stick from Coca-cola.
I think they dispatch a lot of Technology/Electronic items.

If in doubt, don't ever click a link. With these ones, I went to the DPD website the day before or morning of the suspected delivery and go to the officially DPD website and type in the delivery tracking number. Don't go via a link received, you may get a clue as to where it was dispatched from or what it is.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.

If I had a parcel delivered to my door, addressed to me, I would accept delivery as long as no payment of any sort was required. I would investigate the contents and try to figure out the sender and if it corresponded to a competition I had entered then great. Otherwise I would keep it in its original condition for a 'reasonable' amount of time and if it was not subsequently claimed, again great.
This actually happened a couple of years ago; a garden bench appeared when we were out, no idea where it came from. It possibly was a prize from a competition I had entered, so I was pretty chuffed, though still a bit dubious cos it didn't quite correspond with the prize advertised. Two weeks later we were talking to some neighbours who said they had problems with a delivery that they had been told was delivered but they had not received it - guess what, a garden bench. They were very pleased to get it back and gave the delivery company some real stick. (They did say I could come and use it any time...)
