I want to order 4 solar panels online but every site I've tried wants payment by Klarna or some other third party, so no Section 75 protection. For a transaction of £600 - £700 with an unknown company I feel that would be a bit risky. Any suggestions please?

I thought if you paid via instalments that Klarna would be a credit provider so I would have thought they would be covered by Section 75? Section 75 also applies to point of sale loans..?
It looks like its not the case if you use the pay now option, the MSE site seems a bit ambiguous over the other options saying it breaks the link for the card provider but not really detailing if Klarna have an onus to cover Section 75?0 -
Midsummer wholesale and itstechnologies should both take CC.4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.0

Thanks all for replies. Went with Bimble as I had actually used them before for a much smaller purchase. Cost a bit more but probably worth it for the section 75 protection whIch I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get using Klarna or other third party services.
One of the companies Renugen wanted payment by bank transfer and said it would take up to 30 days to clear payment and deliver panels even if they were in stock.
Also had very bad reviews compared to Bimble.

If you feel that paying a company £500 to £700 by any other means other than a CC is risky. Then you should not be using your CC either. 👍
