Help! Remortgage issue

I intended to complete my remortgage from NatWest to Lloyds in June but my solicitor went ahead and proposed 9th May as completion date. I rejected this, both online and called up a few times to ensure that it didn’t complete. Online it said completion was not successful. I organised a new date yesterday with solicitor.
but I got a message from Lloyds today to confirm my first payment on the new mortgage will come out June 1st!! I logged into Lloyds and now have 2 mortgages running concurrently!!! 😞 means I’m paying interest on both!!
any ideas what I can do- the solicitors are seriously rubbish, not even sure if they have the funds from Lloyds, I’m guessing they must do it Lloyds is showing the new mortgage?

Great, thanks- so it’s definitely them at fault? Am I right to ask for a refund of the extra interest?penners324 said:Lodge a complaint with Lloyds and your solicitor0 -
All is ok, solicitors said they have already sent the money back, think it’s an admin thing from Lloyds where they’ve not updated it yet- phew!0
