Global Debt Recovery letter for deceased father

I recieved a letter for my late father from a company called Global Debt Recovery. The letter was addressed to him.
My father passed away in Dec 2021 and left nothing behind in terms of assets. Furthermore, he had no connection to my address (never lived with me).
Few questions:
1. How did they get my address
2. Should I contact them. There is no mention of any debt just a request that we call them. Should I call them?
3. Am I right to assume I'm not liable to any debts he my dad may have left.
I'm in two minds whether I should just ignore or call them to let him know he died. However, I fear the latter may open up a can of worms like them harassing and trying to gaslight me into paying my dads debt. I wont if I'm not liable but I dont need the hassle.
Any advise please

Just a basic, first contact debt collection letter, they will have bought an old debt and somehow linked it to your late dad.
They will have performed a trace, and up popped your details.
No, no one can be held liable for another persons debt, unless you are their guarantor.
A simple letter explaining the circumstances should put an end to this.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
