Debt sold whilst in bankruptcy

After a little help please
I was made bankrupt 12/05/21 so will be discharged very shortly. One of my debts included with the bankruptcy was with Next. I got a letter recently saying that PRA group had brought that debt. They didn't demand any money in that letter so I thought they would just see I'm bankrupt and that be the end of it but I got a notification that a new credit agreement will be added to my credit record next month for PRA group. Does this mean they are intending to chase me for the debt? I thought once it was included in your bankruptcy then it was effectively written off. What was the point of Next selling my debt when it's part of my bankruptcy? Will I now have to wait more then 7 years for this new credit agreement to drop off my credit history?
I don't know whether to write them a message saying I'm bankrupt with my bankruptcy number or if I should tell the Offical Receiver.
Any clarity appreciated 🙏 thank you.

They won't chase you for the debt. Accounts are sold in bulk. It doesn't affect enforceability.2

Hi, I think you should write a proper letter, rather than a message, to the debt collectors, telling them that you were made bankrupt in May 2021 and the debt they are chasing was part of the bankruptcy. They will be able to check on the Insolvency Register anyway.
I'd also contact the Official Receiver and tell them that the creditor has passed this debt to an agency and give details of what they have said about the new agreement being placed on your credit report.
This is what Citizens Advice says -

Ignore it there is nothing they can do.
As said debts are bought in bulk with the hope they will get something.
Your debts are unenforceable

Occasionally an insolvency will fail, a DRO/IVA for example, and there are companies that specialise in buying these insolvent debts in the hope they may become enforceable again in the future.
Debt purchasers don`t know what they have bought until it lands on their books, some they win, some they lose, its nothing for you to worry about, as your bankruptcy cannot normally fail, so they have no remedy against you, however, they may or may not be aware of your bankruptcy, for now you can ignore them, if they become annoying, then a copy of your bankruptcy order will shut them up permanently.
Once your discharged you should also perform a credit file clean up, Debt Camel covers that on their website.
You should actually look on this as an opportunity, if they continue to be persistent, then lodge a formal complaint with them, you will pocket around £50-£100 quid maybe for the trouble caused, not a massive amount, but worth having, making these things work for you is better than worrying about further collection activity.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thank you all very much I feel reassured now.
I am going to wait until I'm discharged later this month (& apply for the documentation). See if they bother me/ what they put on my credit file. I will write to them as suggested if I need to. I am planning on sending them all letters for the credit clean up process anyway. Hopefully that goes smoothly🤞0 -
Just to remind you upon your discharge if you search and click on your name on the Insolvency service website for proof of discharge. This remains on there for 3 months so print of a copy3
