Password autofill Chrome help

I was wondering if anyone has been having problems with autofill in Chrome? It works for address info but has stopped working for passwords. All settings are still on but the passwords and sites have vanished and I can’t get it to start saving them again. The sites and passwords are still in my linked google account when I go to password manager.
I’ve updated to most current version of chrome, rebooted laptop. Turned autofill for passwords off and on again. Cleared cache and no joy.
Any suggestions most welcome please.
