Co-op bank payment problems

Evening everyone. Has anyone heard that the Co-op bank are having problems with payments to the Morrisons online shopping site? My Mum had all sorts of trouble this afternoon trying to get an order to go through so she rang Morrisons. They said she needed to get an authentication code from the bank.
I remembered that they had had a letter from the bank a few months back saying they needed to set up some security stuff to continue with some online payments, I assumed the verification code that you get a lot now. So she rang the bank and they said that that new system wasn't up and running yet, they were still using the old verification system, and that Morrisons didn't recognise it. This sounds like anyone with the Co-op bank can't do an online shop at Morrisons, is this right? It seems odd that a bank hasn't got things in place for customers to be able to use their services.
