Tesco Delivery

Have Tesco "tweaked" their delivery charges again ?There seem to be variations for the same time-slots between this week, next week and the week after .
Why the 'eck can't they just make it the one charge all the time and make it a reasonable one .I'm sure it would benefit them in the long run...£6.50 at some times is ridiculous.

Maybe Christmas has somthing to do with it?Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

i don't think £6.50 is too bad for the service they provide. They employ someone to do your shopping, someone to deliver it, and a pay the costs of running a van to deliver it in.0

That someone being someone who doesn't give a toss about the fact that what they are putting in the trolley might have a useby date of the next day ..and if you havent had that then you are lucky .
It's a good bit more than Asda and Sainsbury's is it not .?0 -

Nobody forces any of us to shop there though. £6.50, you pay peanuts, you get monkeys!0 -
well i always get a code for money off as i'm sure most of you do so i never pay for delivery anyway regardless of the fact they have put it up this week, mines 5.75 but i had a 7.00 off code so i still save a little on my shopping by getting it delivered and i don't use my own petrol up.
If you ever get anything that has a poor date on it email them and complain i always get the money back, if not a bonus bit on compensation for anything that bad!
I also had the delivery refunded the other day because it was a little late. I would give their customer service an A* and i have been using the home shopping now every week for 6months.
They have always resolved any problems well.0 -

I do also look for Vouchers Codes but they are not always available and very often need a minimum spend of £50 which for a single person is quite a lot .0 -
Molley, if the minimum spend is too much, why don't you stock up so you don't havto do a sop the next week? That's how I overcome that, just fill the freezer, get exrta washing powder etc.

Although I am not Tesco's biggest fan, I can't say I really blame them for putting up the delivery costs round Christmas. Supply & deamand and all that...
It isn't as bad as some. Ocado (Waitrose in London) are charging as high as £9 for Christmas delivery slots, where their normal charges range from Free to £5. I've gone for a £5.99 slot from Tesco, but last time I looked all the Ocado slots were booked!
If you don't like it, pick another supermarket or shop instore.0
