Fiat 500 seatbelt so far back it's caused repetitive strain injury?

I was given a Fiat 500 as a company car about 8 months ago. No problem with the car at all but about 2 months ago my right arm has been killing me. I thought I had a trapped nerve but a friend said she had a similar pain caused by RSI. I'm not particularly short (5'5") so the seat isn't too far forward but I do struggle to get the seat belt and if I think about the times I've done this in the last 8 months I wonder if this is what is causing the pain? Anyone else had the same problem?

I had an Abarth 500, which is physically the same car, but no, I never had an issue.
If you are in the UK it’d be normal to reach for the seatbelt with your left hand, is that not how you are doing it?3 -
Why are you using your right arm?4

Look at your PC set up and work if you use a PC, plus anything else you do on a regular / repetitive basis eg cleaning, gardening, painting, writing and then book an appointment with your Dr.

Unlikely to be RSI but you could have strained something.
In his later years my dad suffered from mobility problems and he used to move the seat right back to lessen the reach, put the seat belt on and move the seat back again.
You could maybe do some stretching exercises; not a bad idea anyway.2 -
If reaching for the belt with your right hand over or around your shoulder, try reaching for it downwards, at hip level, instead.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.1

As you posted the topic as a question, no the seatbelt position is not causing RSI.
It is your bad technique if reaching for the seatbelt is actually the cause.
I don't think fastening a seatbelt a few times a day can be classed as repetitive.

Unless you're getting in and out of your car dozens of times every day then it's not going to be an RSI.1

Thankyou for all your very helpful comments. Yes, I think it would be too far a stretch to pull down seat belt with my left arm given that it's so far back. I'm a property inspector so I do get in & out of the car about 12 times a day. Will try a different method & booking an appt with Dr.0
