also, i tried adding one of them when setting up a new account, they both say invalid!, do i put it in advert code, or gift code?

code problems: dont seem to show the discount when you use them so definetely not working becoz thestoredirect always shows the final price including the discount in the checkout page.

the £12 code was send specifically to special store customers, atleast that is wat they told me when i called them and the £10 code worked when i placed my order via phone.

You can only use codes that either have been sent to you as an individual, ones which are freely available on the website, or ones in magazines are ok to be posted here for general use. I have found that if you send for a mail order catalogue they will send you a code most months to try and keep your custom, and there is always an introductory offer.

I got one of the £12 off, no min spend, codes as a previous customer. Trouble was I struggled to find anything of low enough cost to make this worthwhile. In the end I settled for an £8.95 "Jumbo bathsheet" which became free using the code, although you still have to pay £2.95 delivery.
I received a biggish thin towel which was worth about £2.95! So don't expect to make megasavings using these codes, since most things on The Store are at least £12 overpriced.

I had one of these vouchers sent to me and I opted for a Kenwod Blender reduced from £22 down to £10 using the voucher !!!!

so now the board guides have no problem especially the £12 code which was not meant to be for general use posted here. as long as someone posts it in another forum and then use that as the source here then i think the board guides let it go.
