Leaving NHS after 27 years!!!!

Options
So, I started off as an office junior in the NHS and made it to office general manager after some twists and turns.

I'm off to the Primary Care sector as I decided that a change was needed so I'll be employed by a PCN so not completely diverting away from the NHS but I'll be employed by the PCN.

Feeling very anxious,  excited, apprehensive and worried if this doesn't work out what next?! I am 50 next year as well.

Anyone left a large organisation like the nhs after such a long time? looking for some reassurance here as I know of nobody who has done the same.

I'm 45, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and I've left the NHS after 24 years to start at a GP practice. First day tomorrow and I'm very nervous but looking forward to the challenges that it will bring. It was a big decision when I was considering annual leave and sick pay allowance as these will drop significantly however they do offer NHS pension.

It may or may not be the right decision but I needed to move on from where I was and I can always look for jobs back within the NHS if it doesn't work out.

    Good luck xx
