Watering the plants was my only activity yesterday, I was really slothful as I listened to an audio book or watched Justice Judy for far too long. Today will be a better day!
This morning I'm meeting Camelot for a bite of breakfast then I'll have a little look in the small nursery next door to it unless the rain is to heavy.

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers. Hope you and Camelot enjoy your breakfast. It's fine here, but I don't know the forecast, it might change as the day goes on.I was glad to get my hospital appointment over with yesterday, afterwards I was in pain with wind (sorry if TMI) they pump air inro your stomach so it can be seen more clearly, and I think they used too much. Oesophagus biopsies were taken and depending on what they show I might need another investigation in 6 months. I'll hope for the best.Anyway, I was able to eat sausage and mash for our evening meal, I was starving, as hadn't been able to eat since morning..A couple of friends came round last night, so we had a good natter.I need to tidy the freezer today, before it gets into a real mess, and there's shopping to do. We might go to Du*elm for a change and a look round.Hoping everyone has as good a day as they can today, take care folks.13

Morning folks. Thanks GERS and enjoy your breakfast with CAMELOT.
A beautiful start again although a bit nippy yet. Yesterday was a total bonus and I sat out reading for a couple of hours! The back garden is a real suntrap and, hard to believe, but I got too hot and had to retreat indoors for a while! I am hoping this afternoon will be the same.
I am off on the first bus this morning to catch the bus to the next little town along the valley bottom. I spotted some geranium plug plants a couple of weeks ago but couldn't carry any. So off back today to pick some up. I got some last year and they soon grew into beautiful big plants and flowered all summer long. Excellent value for money.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies and poorly loved ones. I hope the painful feet, hips, hands are less painful today and you all manage a rest over the BH. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning All
Bright and sunny so far but rain due later, I too watered the pots and plants yesterday but a good soaking will do them good. I also called at the allotment to water the onions, won't be long until everything else goes in - the seedlings are coming on in the greenhouse although everything is very late this year for me.
My 2 days at work were quite tiring but enjoyable all the same, short week next week so I'm easing in gently! Called at the library too for some new books but forgot to take my glasses so it could be an interesting selection!
Off to meet Gers this morning, should be a nice drive up the loch side and looking forward to my breakfast.
Hope you feel better this morning Scarlet.
Enjoy your shopping trip TA, I sat out for a while yesterday evening too until the sun disappeared, it was beautiful.
Have a happy Saturday, take care. XX13 -
Morning
Yesterday as anticipated was a busy one. New microwave arrived and it works fine without chucking flames out. Did look into getting the old one repaired but the call out fees alone seemed ridiculous so will keep looking for now with my cute micro that does what it says on tin.
Next stress was getting through to the doctors to order some more HRT. 1hr 40 mins just for them to answer the phone. I know they are struggling at the moment but really!! Anyway I have to have a review again which is strange as I have been on it for quite a few years. Luckily a bit of negotiation won me a phone review so at least I don’t need to go in. If they say NO they are seriously risking life and limb which anyone else on HRT will understand. The next stress if they agree will be trying to source the stuff but I have a few weeks left so there’s no immediate rush. Phew should it be so difficult I could buy some class A drugs on the streets with less hassle.
So today I have more kitchen rearranging to crack on with and general tidying.
I am doing some beef cheeks in red wine with some mash for tonight and hopefully tomorrow in the slow cooker need to chuck in some carrots and onions for use up purposes. Takes 8 hours so guess I should crack on
Have a good Sat all

Morning everyone and thanks for the start Gers.
Bright and sunny here today but a bit nippy outside. I have FC today and walk the 1 mile there so will take a scarf. Bit annoyed with DH this morning. The shower was cold so I thought the boiler was playing up – No – DH had left the cloakroom tap running all night. The night before he had left the light on in there. I am going to have to resort to post it notes. He is 49!
Pamper evening was lovely. Good to catch up with friends and we had a facial each. Was also offered a foot spa but my feet aren’t nice enough for getting out after my walk, so I politely declined!
We are seeing DMum later – will be going out for lunch, then over to DSis and BIL for dinner.
Enjoy your breakfast meet up Gers and Camelot 😊
Glad the appointment went well Scarlet and your dinner sounds just the ticket – comfort food!
Hope everyone has a good day,
Coxy

Nice morning with little one today - we went into town to watch 'The Riding of the Bounds' - lots of horses with very smart riders. She loved watching - but as was always the case with her mummy - was fascinated by the piles of poo they left behind!
Then we had a nice visit to the library where she did some horsey themed crafts and chose her books - she told the lady on the desk who we hadn't seen before - 'the other lady lets me stamp them myself you know.' The new lady did as she was told!
We went down to our local 'share shop' - surplus food from supermarkets for a donation. Worth a look as they get a lot of stuff from M and S - filled a bag to share with DD - rolls, flatbreads, crumpets, pitta bread, strawberries and a few other bits - mostly M and S so worth going.
After lunch little one had a good long nap and then DD picked her up.
I'd intended cutting the grass at the back when she'd gone home, but it's pouring down and cold again. It was quite warm this morning - definitely not warm enough for the shorts some of the tourists were wearing though!
Going to have a read now before tea
Hope everyone has had a good day x10 -
Excellent job Florenceem - with your crafts am not surprised. You do such a fantastic job on them for the SA.8

A late Afternoon All from me. It's quiet on here today but I guess some of our posters are out and about with it being Bank Holiday weekend. Today's weather here is dry, mild and very still, with varying degrees of sun.
Yesterday's trip to Sainsbugs for the items I can't get online was mostly successful but, as I suspected, they didn't have tins of corned beef or sardines. I tell a lie - they did if I wanted to pay for the branded ones but I'm happy to wait for their own to come back in stock. The price difference is 50p on a tin of corned beef and 70p () on a tin of sardines. A small pack of white cheese (Wensleydale or Cheshire) has gone up 20p since I last bought some. However, I did get some liver and a pack of cooking bacon. This last was full slices of streaky bacon and will do 3 meals for 2. It took a lot of patience this morning untangling it all but good value for 75p. I also got a small gammon joint that is now in the SC - some for tomorrow's dinner, cold slices with salad on Monday and probably some more with egg & chips later in the week. Not to mention the inevitable pea & ham soup from the stock. As you can tell, I like to get my money's worth!
A bit of a personal disaster happened this morning when I sneezed - a tooth came out!I knew it was a bit mobile but it must have been more so than I thought. On the bright side - it's not going to bother me anymore, the gap can't be seen as its at the back, I don't have the trauma of having it extracted and it was free. I don't think the dentist will be very happy but I can't stick it back in, can I? And it's still difficult to get an appointment anyway.
I'm hoping the weather stays mild as I've washed my winter coat and am now wearing a lighter jacket that I use for this time of year and later on in early autumn. The winter one I've had for about 13 years and the jacket for even longer, so neither owes me anything and they still look as good as new. I treated myself yesterday to two plain short sleeved cotton T-shirts from Mr S. One is yellow bordering on mustard - in my preferred colour spectrum of yellows/browns/greens - and the other is a bright blush pink. I like the colour and it looks fine, but it's definitely out of my comfort zone so I'm hoping it grows on me. If not, it will be worn under a blouse or sweater.
Tomorrow I'll be soup making and baking - the cake tin is empty so I'll have to rectify that. Maybe a ginger cake and some chocolate muffins, we'll see.
Enjoy the weekend whatever you're doing and take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8
