With Her Majesty The Queen celebrating her 70-year reign this year, the nation will stop to take a moment to reflect on our Queen’s reign and celebrate our transformed society. 

On Sunday 5th of June, The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant will take place and be played out in four parts: For Queen and Country, The Time of Our Lives, Let’s Celebrate and Happy and Glorious.

We will be giving you the chance to win two tickets to this historical moment in time by telling us about your very own ‘Unsung Hero’. We want to hear about the people in your life that gone above and beyond for their community, who are dedicated in their service to others and represent the values that so many people see in The Queen.

It could be someone who raised an incredible amount of cash towards a local cause, a teacher who always strives to be the best for their class or simply someone in your life who you believe deserves the recognition.

Together with The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant, we will be giving away 70 pairs of tickets to the nation’s Unsung Heroes.

We want to hear about the Unsung Hero in your life who goes above and beyond, who gives that little more than everyone else and shows qualities that we value in our own Royal Majesty The Queen!

Simply tell us below – in a maximum of 300 characters - about your Unsung Hero and why you have chosen them, and you could be winning a pair of tickets so you and your hero can enjoy this unique moment in history!

This competition is being run across Smooth, Heart and Classic FM and winners will be chosen at random from all entries received. Winners must be available on Sunday 5th June and able to travel down to central London to the event. Each winner will receive a pair of tickets only. Any other costs and expenses such as travel and accomodation are excluded and will be the sole responsibility of the winner. 

Winners will be required to complete security checks prior to the prize being awarded.

If your entry is selected as a winner then you will have 24 hours to respond to our correspondence otherwise you will forfeit the prize and another winning entry will be selected.

Entries close at 2pm on Thursday 5th May.

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant Online Promotion, April – May 2022 – Specific Rules 

1.    The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant Online Promotion (‘Promotion’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from Friday 29th April 2022 to Thursday 5th May 2022 on Classicfm.com, Smoothradio.com and Heart.co.uk. Global is the Promoter. The ‘Promotion Partner’ mentioned in these Specific Rules is The Platinum Jubilee Pageant Limited (company number 13272423) of 7 Savoy Court, London, WC2R 0EX. .
2.    IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here (together, the ‘Promotion Terms and Conditions’). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions.

Details of the Promotion:

3.    For the chance to win two tickets to attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant on Sunday 5th June 2022 along The Mall in central London (the ‘Event’), to enter the Promotion you must:
3.1    Go online to the Promotion entry page at classicfm.com, smoothradio.co.uk or heart.co.uk and register your details;
3.2    Tell us in 300 characters or less who the “Unsung Hero" in your community is and why you have chosen them. This can include (but is not limited to); somebody who has put on fundraising events to raise money for a local cause, somebody who organises groups to keep the local area clean and tidy or somebody who is known for going the extra mile in helping others.

4.    Online entry will open at 10:30 on Friday 29th April 2022 and close at 14:00 on Thursday 5th May 2022. Entries received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion.
5.    Entries deemed by us to be rude, offensive, defamatory, illegal or condoning dangerous behaviour will be removed from the Promotion.
6.    Eligible entries will be entered into a rolling draw, and winners will be randomly selected across the promotion period at the following times:
6.1    Draw 1, 25 winners will be randomly selected on Tuesday 3rd May 2022 at 10:00
6.2    Draw 2, 25 winners will be randomly selected on Wednesday 4th May 2022 at 10:00
6.3    Draw 3, 20 winners will be randomly selected on Thursday 5th May 2022 at 14:00 when the competition has closed. 
7.    The selected entrants will be contacted by one of our representatives via telephone on the telephone number with which you registered to enter the Promotion.
8.    If a selected entrant does not respond by answering their phone within two attempts of being contacted, or they answer and are found not to be eligible to win the prize according to the criteria below they will forfeit their right to the prize and we shall be entitled to select another entrant by random selection as detailed above. Having been contacted by phone all selected entrants will be emailed confirmation of their prize and details of prize fulfilment. These entrants must respond to this email within 24 hours, or they will forfeit the prize. In relation to winners and your guest(s) (“Winners”), you understand that your attendance at the Event will be subject to the Promotion Partner’s own additional terms and conditions relating to registration, ticketing and general attendance at the Event. The Promotion Partner reserves the right to refuse entry to the Event for any Winner who fails to cooperate with such terms and conditions or who the Promotion Partner considers (in its absolute discretion) that it would be inappropriate for that person to attend.
9.    We and the Promotion Partner may publish and publicise your name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city, town or county) and your entry, and we may refer to your and any applicable third party’s (for example a guest/travel companion) association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion.
10.    In relation to winners, you understand that we and the Promotion Partner: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) which we may film, photograph and/or record and; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Promotion, either by telephone or in person, and we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable, in connection with the Promotion. We may also publish your and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture.

Eligibility:

11.    The Promotion is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, and who are based in the UK at the time of entry. 
12.    Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Promotion. 
13.    If the guest is aged 16 or 17, parental consent will be required.

Prize:

14.    Seventy randomly selected eligible entrants will each receive the following prize: 

2 x tickets to the Event on Sunday 5th June 2022. 

15.    We and the Promotion Partner are not responsible for any delay or cancellation of this Event.
16.    Selected entrants will be contacted via the phone number provided on entry within 1 working day of selection and will be asked to provide evidence of identity and eligibility. Selected entrants will be required to the prize fulfilment email sent to them after being contacted via the phone respond within 24 hours of receipt. If a selected entrant does not respond within 24 hours, or is unable to attend the Event, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and award the prize to another randomly selected entrant. These selected entrants will also have 24 hours to confirm receipt of the email and respond.
17.    You acknowledge and agree that, without limitation to the provisions of Clause 12 of the General Terms & Conditions, our ability to fulfil a prize and/or perform any of our obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions could be affected by an actual or threatened epidemic, pandemic, disease or quarantine and/or any corresponding governmental action, guidance and/or ruling (including but not limited to any Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office guidance) (collectively ‘Covid Measures’).  If due to any Covid Measures, we are unable to fulfil a prize or perform any of our other obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions, then we shall not be in breach of the Promotion Terms and Conditions. In accordance with Clause 20 below, in these circumstances, we reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion and subject to the Promotion Partner’s approval which will not be unreasonably withheld.
18.    Any other costs and expenses which are not specifically included in the prize description are excluded and will be the sole responsibility of the winner. By way of example, without limitation, travel and accommodation are not included in the prize.
19.    The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. 
20.    We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion, subject to the Promotion Partner’s approval which will not be unreasonably withheld.

Data Protection:

22.    Your personal data that you provide to us will be collected and processed by us, our licensees (including Communicorp UK Limited), the Promotion Partner as well as the prize providers, and if applicable, our service providers, network operators and suppliers in order to administer and fulfil the Promotion. Your personal data may also be disclosed to the Phone-paid Services Authority, Ofcom and/or the Advertising Standards Authority at their reasonable request for regulatory purposes, for example, in order to prevent, investigate and detect crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and comply with law enforcement agencies and applicable advertising codes.
23.    By entering a Promotion, you acknowledge that any personal data provided by you in connection with the Promotion will be processed as set out above and in accordance with our Privacy Policy which sets out full details of how we process personal data and how you can exercise your rights as a data subject, and the Promotion Partner’s Privacy Policy. Please ensure you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and Promotion Partner’s Privacy Policy before entering the Promotion. If you are required to submit a guest(s)/travel companion(s) personal data to enter a Promotion, you must ensure that your guest(s)/travel companion(s) have given you consent to provide us and the Promotion Partner with their personal data.
24.    We and our Promotion Partner may transfer and process personal data outside of the EEA and UK for the purposes of administering the Promotion. Where any transfers are made outside of the EEA or UK we the Promotion Partner will ensure appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data are in place. 
25.    We will hold your personal data for a period of up to 3 years in order to comply with our regulatory obligations. 
26.    You may request the removal of your personal details from our database by contacting privacy@global.com. If you request that your personal details be removed prior to the conclusion of a Promotion, you will forfeit your right to enter the Promotion and/or claim any prize and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable.
