If i earn 81k from regular job and then 10k from self employment how much tax is taken on 10k? Would it be 40%?

As per the other thread, yes, any extra earnings are at the marginal rate, you don’t get another tax-free allowance.0

NI is rather more complex than tax and there are variables as to how you are set up for the second employment that change the amount due. It really would be good to get an Accountant.0
