Your National Insurance record

I am wondering if anyone knows when the contributions for the last year 21/22 will show on my individual record of National Insurance?

I know they will get there eventually but I would like to see what my part time job contributed to my record and how much it will cost to make it a full year.
I need 3 years worth of contributions to cover the £12.75 a week shortfall from maximum available.

  • It's likely to be a few weeks yet as employers only had to send HMRC their final Real Time Information reports for 2021:22 a few days.

Mine did not update until October last year, but I phoned them in around June and theywere able to see on their system how much I needed to pay.

2 years of voluntary NI contributions will give you £10.58, so you will need to consider if the final £2.17 is worth the cost of a full year.

Have you had a P60 yet (due by 31 May, so probably not)? That might give the information you're looking for.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
