Hi everyone I received a letter from lcs about a property I have no connection with. I contacted them by phone but they said they need my date of birth to talk to me which I refused so they put the phone down on me. I sent an email stating I have absolutely no connection to the property and received an email back asking me for my date of birth.
In the meantime I contacted eon who agreed that lcs have got my details by mistake and should stop contacting me if I send an email.
I again have a final demand from lcs.
I don't want to reveal my personal details to them but how do I stop them sending the letters?
Thanks

You put it all in a letter, a letter is deemed to have been sent by the individual whose address is in the letter, and is acceptable for legal purposes, so why not debt collection.
Do LCS keep referring to their client in their letters ?
If so, they are just acting as a collector, and have zero power to do anything, simply place in recycle bin.
If they have bought the debt, then the letter should be fine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Should I just ignore all letters from them? Is there any way of finding out how my name was given?0

A quick letter as mentioned above, should put this to bed.
Include a £150 invoice for wasting your time, the letters will soon stop.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
