Fair enough! It is probably more about demand than it is about location. The places I tried around me (some close, some further out) had waits of a couple of months, all quoting high prices. I could have shopped around further, but by 4 quotes I was feeling like I’d done some decent checking! At that point I hadn’t discovered this forum though haha2

Looks like light renewables , they are coming to do mine in July. They were the best quote I had but I do realise I might have hassle with my certificates. Although they do have a new person in the office starting this week so fingers crossed the admin may improve.8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.1

What sort of lead times are people being quoted for installs? With the huge demand for panels world wide I'm a bit concerned that there simply won't be enough panels to go around.4.3kwp JA panels, Huawei 3.68kw Hybrid inverter, Huawei 10kw Lunar 2000 battery, Myenergi eddi, South facing array with a 15 degree roof pitch, winter shade.0

Its a Solaredge battery, I was told first batch of 600 has been all sold and arrives in July , the next batch is for October and prices has gone up £1k. I was told this after I had signed so no reason for the installer to mislead me. I would guess all batteries will be in short supply and I wouldn't be completely surprised if my battery was diverted to somewhere else who will pay more. Mainland Europe must be snapping up anything they can get their hands on ATM.8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.0

Interesting, I've just had a call from my installer saying they now have a shipment date for their panels and my install will 've another 6 weeks. So that's 12wks in total.
The have the battery and everything else but I don't think Huawei are that popular in the UK so easier yo get hold of.
Solaredge, givenergy, growatt are all very much in demand.
You'd hope once your installer has secured the battery then their supplier would honour it and not sell it on.4.3kwp JA panels, Huawei 3.68kw Hybrid inverter, Huawei 10kw Lunar 2000 battery, Myenergi eddi, South facing array with a 15 degree roof pitch, winter shade.0 -
