Seeing as TSB refuse to answer my emails and the phone line is over an hour wait can anyone confirm if I can make a mortgage overpayment in a TSB branch via chip and pin?

Would you recommend overpaying on a mortgage? I was thinking of paying about £1000 a year. I'm caught between keeping the money incase of a rainy day or using it to eat into the debt and bring down interest payments to lessen the burden on the predicted interest rate rises.
It's currently around £80,000 at 1.69% but will certainly rise when my fixed rate ends next year.0 -
Always worth having an accessible rainy day fund. Short term borrowing on credit cards can soon wipe any benefit away from overpaying the mortgage.0
