Workplace vs own pension

The one thing that you may wish to consider is fees on your private scheme. These may be much higher than an occupational scheme simply because your employer will be bearing some of the costs as well as there being an economy of volume due to all the other participants.
You might decide to wait until the global situation is a bit calmer....more recovery from covid, less conflict in Ukraine. At that point see what the fund value is doing and whether transferring into the OPS is a good idea. If your adviser is worthwhile s/he will be honest about whether transferring is a good idea or not.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Thanks everyone. Last year was the first year I’d missed a review, like I said, I was dealing with multiple bereavements at the time. I checked and I got one email, to which I didn’t reply. I have a meeting next week. I’m 31 so I think in the wider picture, it’s not a big deal. I just wasn’t sure if I need to do more/ something different. In 2020, I got an email, separate to my review, asking me to confirm the changes they were making to offset the COVID risk/ dip. I haven’t had anything this year.0
