Any advice on getting RBSs digidocs to accept your ID?

I thought this might be a good place to ask for advice! Everything going well with our RBS mortgage application except for the fact that every time me and my partner upload our IDs to digidocs they are rejected a few days later and we are asked to resubmit. I called RBS who were about as helpful as a chocolate teapot in telling me precisely what was wrong with our uploads so we could try and get it right on the third go. I initially did a photo of my drivinglicense and the second time around I used a scan of my passport - full colour high res scan so as to not take any chances. Anyone else experienced similar issues?

Are you doing them against a white background with natural light? That's the way I submitted mine for a bank account.
