Last night I watched a video on YouTube where someone built a solar food dehydrator. It was the kind of solar power that uses hot air passing through a series of beer cans which then flows through the racks of food.. I was wondering if there's anything else you could use with this kind of construction. You could could have a sort of multi purpose solar unit. I'd love some ideas please. I think I might have to raid the local dustbins for the beer cans, but that would get the village gossiping.

Not cans but you can build a rocket mass heater which runs on twigs and provides heat, and depending on construction, a cooking surface. I am aiming to build one utside under a shelter in the next couple of years.
