So a lot has happened since I was last a regular in here. I got married, and I am now separated. I work at my local hospital 30 hours a week over 3x10 shifts and I have also started my own business. My debts have fallen, risen, fallen, risen etc etc. My kids have moved out and moved back.
So at present, both my sons are living at home, one is due to go and work away for 6 months. I am the main bread winner in the house, my eldest son has been classed as unfit for work, but he is paying me 1/4 of his benefits for board, so £175. My youngest income presently comes from streaming, so fluctuates a great deal. On the whole he is only able to pay me back for the phone I got him on my credit card. He has never missed a payment and only has 2 payments left. When he can he pays me £100 for board.
I signed a contract for a business rental 2 months before I split with my partner, where initially he would have covered the rent for the house, I could have easily covered the rent for the business rental, Now things have changed and I need to cover both. Also so that my shop part of business can be open 5 days a week, I have had to employ someone to cover two days for me, due to working at local hospital, as my rota is all over the place.
Last week I decided to hand my notice in at the hospital and just do bank shifts there instead. This will allow me to have the chance of a more structured working week. I shall in 3 weeks time be working at the hospital Sunday days and Monday nights, occasionally I may include a Monday afternoon if my business is slow. My wage from my contracted hours and board from my son has JUST covered my household bills, minimum debt payments and a weeks worth of food. This month I need to pick up extra shifts to cover my employee's wage and my business rental costs.
I also have £300 outstanding on some signage for the windows for my business, once I have them up I am hoping to it will attract new clients to my business premises. I am located centrally in the town centre, but since I am above a shop, many people don't see my entrance door, or just think its someone's private residence above the shop.
Any way to my debt situation. I have 2 credit cards, a business start up loan and paypal credit.

Business income is hit and miss at moment, as just starting up current business. 2 x Sunday bank shifts at hospital, used to cover the staff wages, but since I am now going onto bank only at the hospital, I need to decided whether I can keep my employee on. Though considering cutting her down to 1 day per week of 5 hours instead of 10 hours over 2 days. My employee is 20yrs old and I pay her £9.00 an hour, so above minimum wage for her age bracket but below the living wage which I would have liked to have been able to pay or at least the minimum wage for 24yrs +
Looking at it all I really need to be bringing in a bare minimum of £2500 per month to cover everything and that doesn't really allow me a wage for myself from business. I trained as a complementary therapist during lock down.
