Why can't I find a perfume??!!!

I can't use anything too heavy - gives me a headache. I have tried loads of "light" perfumes....D&G Light Blue, Christina Aguilera, original "Ghost"....and more. I have gone into every perfume outlet to ask for their lightest fragrance and been testing for weeks. I cannot find anything that smells right. I wonder if the alcohol content is the problem. Its fine when I first spray a perfume - I quite like the smell of some of them. But after an hour or so, the scent starts to go to my head, and it doesn't smell like it did at first. In fact, it smells totally different and all of them end up smelling quite wierd. Has anyone tried any nice body sprays or spritzers? I remember using a spritz from superdrug once in a green bottle - smelt lovely - very light and citrusy and fresh like cut grass. But that was years ago, and I cannot locate it now. Thanks...........

If you like citrus/fresh, have you tried Cerrutti 1881? Jo Malone's Lime Basil & Mandarin? Her Grapefruit range is lovely too.0

There are lots of lovely citrus fragrances here

Where could I find the Jo Malone perfumes to try? I tried my local Boots store tonight and there are none in there. Is it more the big department stores? I had a look at the website - I like the sound of them. I love those sort of smells....
Thanks a lot for your help. I didn't even think of Jo Malone....0 -
Tommy girl is a nice light fragrance. Hubby says it makes me smell like a cucumber though :heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0

My recommendation would be
Acqua Di Gio contains a blend of fresh floral, sweet pea, and jasmine. This feminine scent was created by Giorgio Armani in 1995 and is recommended for casual wear.0 -
The recommendations above still don't smell right on me. I haven't got around to finding a Jo Malone fragrance yet mind you. Estee Lauder bought Jo Malone few years ago, so I presume if I go to the Estee Lauder counters they will have them there??
If I could put the Body Shops Pink Grapefruit in a perfume bottle, I'd wear it every day! I use the shower gel and the body butter - but I'd still like a perfume to spritz. There is a certain undertone in most of the perfumes that I don't like, and it must be the alcohol. Has anyone tried L'Occitane fragrances?
Thanks for your replies. I'll keep searching! x0 -

Thierry Mugler Cologne is a light green spritzer that smells very light and fresh.
If its a 'light' version of perfume youre after, always go for the Eau De Toilette as its the weakest concentration of fragrance.
I have weird skin that turns most fragrances into a grapefruit smell when i wear them, so i have to be careful, or just put them in my hair or on my clothes.
The fragrance you tried in superdug could it have been Cabotine Gres?
that was widely promoted a few years back (its quite a fresh scent, even though they recommend it for evening wear.. ) but then disappeared - though its still widely available online.
Also you might like to try, the 'Clean' range of fragrances?0
