Not about cutting tax but a question re joint account and cash gifts to our children

in Cutting tax
Last year my wife and I gifted xx amount to one of our children
The amount was over the personal allowance for each of us inc the previous year's unused amount
We have joint accounts inc current accounts and foolishly without thinking i paid all of it using my card online
We paid 3k each this year to another one of our children but used both cars ie 3k each
My question is, will hmrc see it as a joint gift from me and the wife as after all it is a joint account and any one of us could empty it.
We often have a few k's in there ready to go.
Than you in advance.

HMRC won’t be interested unless either of you dies in the next 7 years and even then only if you estate(s) are in IHT territory. The £3000 is not an allowance it is an exemption you can gift any amount you like.0

question is just in case hmrc needs clarification. re this 3k per person allowance.0 -
If the cards are on joint accounts, then the gifts are joint, no matter which card is used. It is the source of the funds that is relevant.2

When funds come out of a joint account, they come from the joint owners of the account. I don't think anyone has ever suggested before that the mechanism used matters, and you can't prove a negative.0
