I am hoping to get some ideas for a present for my DS (8 months) to give his daddy for Christmas. Normally I am pretty good at thinking of "different" presents but we have already used up those ideas for family members - i.e. the footprint/handprint thing, personalised mugs, photos in frames.
If you have any ideas (not too expensive) they would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you

when my son was born i bought a book called 'how to be a little sod' and wrote in it a little message from my son to his daddy. The book is fantastically funny and a perfect gift i think heres from green metropolis http://www.greenmetropolis.com/book.asp?id=246486&author=Brett+Simon&title=How%20to%20be%20a%20Little%20Sod
it's only 3.75 delivered.
Hope this helps.0 -

I like the idea of a book, childrens story, about father and son relationship. I got one from book people "Me and my dad" £2.99 you could phone to see if it could be here for christmas.

If you want you could check out the photo books from places like asda, you download your pictures choose the page layout for each page and they print them into a book.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -
My wife and I did this when my eldest was about four or five, we read to her a lot and we had her friends names inserted too, It is great, but its more for the kids than the adults, and it will be ages until the baby understands what it is about.0

Thank you so much everybody!
I have looked on Amazon and they have lots of daddy board books - might get a little collection together (DH reads the bedtime story every night so they will be perfect!)
Happy Christmas everyone and thanks again :T0 -
I picked up a canvas from the works for a few £ and some washable paints and made footprints and handprints on the canvas (great fun with a wriggly baby) just dab paint onto feet & hands with a sponge then print onto the canvas , my daughter gave this to daddy for his 1st fathers day and he loved it.Booo!!!0

I did one of those photo books for Father's Day, most photos of dd with her dad, with captions like 'the first time you held me', 'first time swimming', 'first taste of solids' and dh was quite choked up when he got it.0
