Rebanding question re Council Tax.

Hi all, I have read loads of really helpful posts about council tax rebanding. I thought I'd just ask one for me!
My house is band E. So no rebate for me on the energy rise help. 😕
I have checked previous sales of my house all the way back to 1995, it has been sold 3 times and on each occasion appears to have been valued under the Band D bracket.
We bought the house about 7 years ago and the value at that time was the first time it had tipped over into a Band E.
I had thought if it was Band D in 1991 then I could challenge my banding but previous posts suggest this may not be the case.
I live in a strange lane with small houses across the lane all being Band C and all the larger houses on my side would appear to to be Band E. (All bigger than mine)
1) is it possible to get sale prices for my house pre 1995? (I can't find anything online)
2) is it even worth me trying due to the value we bought it for when we moved in?
I am certain some of the houses on this side of the lane are in the wrong Band from 1991 valuations but possibly not anymore....
Any advice appreciated
Rob

Pre 1994 house prices are not in the public domain. !995 prices in many areas were around 25% lower than those in 1991. Because of the way CT banding works, there will be many different houses in the same band, a house at the top of Band E could be worth more than 30% than one at the bottom. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1

Hi Lincroft, thank you for replying, I was hoping you would from your previous posts, given all of the above, do you think I'm better off not bothering a challenge?0

You would need more evidence. Can you find similar houses to yours in the area at Band D
