Accounts with multiple 'pots'?

I'm looking to find an account where I can section off funds for different things (and label them) so I can easily see my spending in some areas and savings in others.

I've tried googling and searching the forum but I don't know if 'pots' is the correct term.

Anyone know of an account, savings or current, that offers this style of organisation?

Currently have 2 current accs, 1 savings and one LISA but aside from the LISA the funds are very muddied as trying to save for and budget different things and doesn't look like I'm making much progress. If I could see designated pots increasing by even £10 a month it would probably encourage me to save more overall.

Chase, app only, let's you have 10 saving pots @ 1.5%.

Hi, Chase current account has this with their savings and current account.

they also allocate a separate account number for each pot so you can pay money in directly to the pots. You can have up to 10 pots I believe

Starling bank has pots also but I’m not sure how many you can have, also interest is less than Chase.

id go for Chase as the pots within savings give you 1.5% each

    (I have used both accounts)

    hope this helps.

  • Thanks for your replies, I'll check out Chase.

If you look at this forum ( first two or three pages ) you will see there are a few threads about Chase .
  • Zopa let’s you have four pots offering very good rates, with increasing amounts of interest for longer notice periods …might be useful if you can’t access Chase if your phone or tablet isn’t compatible with their app.

If the app-only Chase account doesn't suit, then Virgin Money gives you 2% on up to £1000 in their current account......the linked saver account pays 1% atm (up to £25k, only 0.5% above that) and has the "pots" feature you want.

Have a look at Chase and Zopa; Zopa Smart Saver has the option of Boosted Pots that have different numbers of days notice that pay different interest %'s which I use and you may find this an option

I have both Starling and Chase. If interest is the priority then Chase would be the better option. If you want a more fully featured account then I would go with Starling.

I'd vote as per 400ixl but Monzo & Revolut also has this feature.

Though Revolut isn't a proper bank in the UK yet (I believe it's applied for the full licence). It is a registered bank in the EU though

An institution without FSCS protection would be a brave choice for a UK saver then....
