Go to bed earlier!

The way my flat is laid out my bedroom and living room are one room. To date I have for the most part not really spent any "all days" in bed even though it is literally two strides from my sofa so really wouldn't make much of a diffetence where i sat... But getting up out of bed makes me feel like im using the room as a bedroom and a living room rather than just a bedroom. Yes, I wish they were separate rooms but can't complain, the important thing is I've what need and it's comfortable. Plus as I live alone it's only me that needs to put up with it so to speak.
I'm on sick leave at present but I am somewhat trying to stick to a routine (even if the times aren't exactly what i adhere to for going to work) bed around 8-10 get up 7-9, will need to adjust this as work starts at 7.30am

I'll sleep when I'm dead.3

I go to bed earlier so I can get up and run 10k most mornings, with the added benefit that I only want a cool shower when I get back from the run.2

@arielgirl my first home was like yours from the sound of it. I had a "studio flat" as the EA were pleased to call it; A bedroom/living room, a weeny kitchenette, and a weeny bathroom.Nowadays, I share a tiny bungalow with my husband; sleep is pretty much off the menu at the best of times, as he snores fit to wake the dead, plus he "acts out" his dreams (not his fault, it goes with the territory with Parkinson's Disease); and mornings are a question of "who gets to use the bathroom first?" He can move quicker than I can, so it's usually him first. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)7

@arielgirl use a screen, slim bookcases or your wardrobes as a room divider, assuming it's big enough to split. Provide the illusion of two rooms.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4

We used Chinese-type roller blinders (IKEA) as room dividers when we lived in a studio. They don't take up any space and are light enough to not make the room feel heavy.

I find its easier to go out for a walk and come home to a cup of tea instead.GaleSF63 said:
Yes I've always found that useful when I've been on a diet as I tend to eat more at night. That and low calorie hot chocolate.Siebrie said:Going to bed earlier prevents late-night snacking

So much to read, so little time.1 -
It was explained to me as: your body needs either to sleep, or additional energy to stay awake. Your choice.
