Our sofas are bout 5 years old. They are the type in the link below but in black. The leather is not the top end but the one advertised ie mid/high range as more durable.

We have no pets, dont smoke and have a very clean and tidy house but the smell of the leather has gone and when i press my nose up against the seats, the ones we use don't smell dirty but don't smell as nice as leather or fresh. We have four of these and the two we don't use  smell of nothing really.

Every so often I clean with

but it leaves a funny smell.

I use once a year car leather seat wax/polish. The clear cleaner I use about 6/7 times a year on the two sofas we use often. We do rotate the two sofa cushions every week

I'm looking for a leather smell remover/refresher that is not very, expensive and a price of something like the stuff I buy atm

    It's not something I have ever thought of doing but, as there seems to be a dearth of replies, I can only suggest Googling "new leather smell spray uk" until someone comes up with some better ideas,
    Good luck.

    @Debran and @Suffolksue

    Thank you both for trying. I've looked hard but not sure other than not to use 'anti-bacterial wipes sites state as it 'breaks down the leather' and I've used them
    In the past, I'v used car seat polish. leather polish

    No one else can smell it but its not the nice new leather smell and as I said, the two sofas we hardly use, the smell natural

    The clear stuff i use is ok but not the smell and i guess that is getting into the sofas.

    I'm just wondering if Lord Sheraton Balsam would  help you. It is said to protect the surface .
    I have never used it it but I think  a friend used to (I have no leather furniture!) I see it is widely available from different supermarkets & including the Range. It might not restore the new leather smell but might be an improvement.

    Are these 4 sofas all the same? Do you change them round or swap the cushions on the ones you use with the ones you don't otherwise will you be looking at getting rid of all 4 sofas when 2 wear out because they won't all match?

    Yes, we rotate the two sofas we use ost often ie two of them and swap the two chansons around. We even moved the main sofa frames around the other day ie the two sofas we do not use.  The two we rarely use ie when guists around and even then they sit on the main soafas the two are practically brand new as are the frames on all 4 but it is the chuisons. The sofas as per the link but in black have separate cushions and backs and even the backs are rotated.
