Is remortgage.nationwidemortgages.co.uk website valid ?

Hi all,
I went to get a mortgage from Nationwide and through a convoluted set of links and clicks ended up at remortgage.nationwidemortgages.co.uk.
I went through the process not noticing it wasn't Nationwide.co.uk.
I paid my mortgage arrangement fee and it has shown on my Nationwide bank account as Nationwide Arrangement Fee with the logo and web address, etc.
It is now asking for my direct debit details and I've just noticed the web address and I'm worried I've been caught out.
I have gone the same route from Nationwide's main page and I get back to my application but I'm unsure why I'm being asked for direct debit details when I haven't finished the application or signed anything yet.
Has anyone else gone through this process?
Regards,
Guy

Did you login to your nationwide account to apply?I just went through a few clicks at nationwide and it wanted me to log in.0

No I didn't log in to my nationwide account but I did go from the nationwide website, the links at the bottom of the web page
I didn't see how to apply from my account, I clicked the link on the right panel and it took me to the same place.
I do find bank websites a little difficult to work around sometimes.0 -
Thinking, I'm not sure I actually logged into my account just the home page.
I rang the fraud department at my bank at they thought the payment looked right.
They advised me to call the mortgage department and check my application number with them.1 -
I don't know if its valid. However, the domain name nationwidemortgages.co.uk does not have any website page allocated to it. Just the subdomain remortgage.nationwidemortgages.co.uk.
Unusually for a webpage from a genuine lender, there are no compliance messages at the bottom of the webpage. e.g. FCA authorisation, companies house, risk warnings like "your home is at risk..." etc. It appears to show genuine Nationwide information.
A may be a test site that is not designed to be in public use yet.

Thanks, I'll make the call tomorrow.
I think it is genuine because I called Nationwide Mortgages on Friday, they put me through to remortgages and the phone number on the illustration is the same, although that can be copied. It has taken a few days for various details to be checked and scammers usually go for pressure.
I'll let everyone know tomorrow when I ring the main official phone number for Nationwide and go through their menu system.1 -
I've just gone through the app on my phone and ended up at the same website so I'm happier.
On the app it says "you'll need to apply in the remortgaging page on our website",
When I select this it asks if I started in the internet app and what the application number starts with, the correct selections of that take to the webpage I mentioned above.1 -
The domain has been registered since 1999, and the pages coming up via Google look legit to me.
e.g. https://developer.nationwidemortgages.co.uk/ takes you to contact email addresses at nationwide.co.uk3 -
Well thank you everyone for taking the time to reply.
I called through to the re-mortgage team using the general number for Nationwide so I knew it was all valid and they confirmed that I had generated an application using that page (although they weren't aware of the URL) and I've completed the application.
@user1977, I think the page I used is a web application and the developer page is for others (like brokers) to use their API to do something similar linking to Nationwide offers and collect the correct data (at a guess).0
