An Update. I have now received the payment.
The issue ended up being that I had provided the incorrect instructions BUT this was due to my bank's website indicating that the correct option (Telegraphic Transfer) was only for sending money. No explanation of how this incorrect option, meant only for inter-Australia transfers worked for the regular monthly payment but not for the lump sum.
Have to say pretty pleased with AON/BMW(UK) Pensions. When advised of the incorrect details on a Friday, come Tuesday the money was in my account.
