Working from home and tax relief question.

in Cutting tax
Morning, I have been working from home since Covid reared its head. Most of my team do, at some point during the week, but for me I haven't been into the office since April 2020 (combination of being classed as vulnerable so GP sent in cert for me to work from home and that employer asked us to work from home). I work part time and do not earn enough to pay tax and therefore I have not applied for the tax relief...but is there anything else that I can do (other than asking my employers, already asked).
Thanks for your anticipated help

Other than earning more not really no.

I didn't think so. I don't want to work more, just seems crazy that someone earning way more than me can work from home for one day a week (and therefore their utilities is only impacted for one day) and I work over three days earning not enough to pay tax - they get the cash (in essence) and I don't.

If your "someone" pays £1,000 tax and gets about £62 back, so they are still £938 worse off in tax terms than you.0
