PAYE tax code - how to change/update assumptions

I'm 95% sure in pre-covid years you could update info online to get PAYE code adjusted based on expected reliefs - e.g. anticipated pension contributions, but in my tax account now I seem only able to change expected income and P11D benefits.  Am I missing something, was this removed or just moved somewhere I'm being too blind to see?

Currently the pension contribution value 'baked in' to my tax code is more than I am likely to put in this tax year, so wanted to remove it rather than get a big bill in 12m time - but if I can't change this online I suppose I should just put something aside for it...

  • Well - I suppose it’s an interest free loan! I would telephone HMRC at 7.59 tomorrow - best time.

Cheers; unfortunately I do have to work for a living so I suppose it's as you say an interest free loan, and a reason not to submit my tax return on 06 April next year(!)

I called them on Friday at 8am, answered in 3 rings once passed the automation part. Changed my pension contributions, my mileage and my private medical cover and by time I had got off phone my app had updated already with exact amounts

Further to my quick message ( jumping off a train at the time) :

HMRC- PAYE Income tax summary, Your estimated income tax- How is this calculated- View detailed Income Tax estimate, then at the bottom of that page, 'Check your tax codes', Personal Pension Payments- you'll see the amount and 'update or remove' link, there is then a form to click through with details etc... Then goes into the system for some time to be amended, CraigEmma's method does sound much quicker however!
