Although date wise you did not have two jobs at the same time, you had two jobs/ two pays in the one month - December.user19860331 said:

If both these payments were taxed under month 8 then you were given that month's tax free personal allowance twice for the same month.
That will cause an underpayment when the year's pay and tax is reviewed.1
