Hello,

I have recently been given an AIP through Barclays. Full application went in on the same day (31/03/2022).
I was originally turned down by Leeds.
Barclays have asked for clarification on a few things via my MB and I haven’t heard anything for a few days now.
I checked my Experian and Equifax credit files today and I have a soft search on my file from Leeds and another identity check from my mortgage broker.

There is nothing at all from Barclays - not a soft or hard search. Should I be worried about this?
I emailed my MB my concerns and she said that Barclays will have definitely done a search to offer the AIP. She said they’ve reviewed my documentation and at this point, is waiting for them to instruct a valuation of the property.
I’m really nervous about getting the mortgage offer and the fact I can’t see any searches on my file is making me anxious.
Has anyone else ever had this before? I thought searches were quite immediate. Could there be a delay on these showing on my file for any reason?

Are you checking your files in real time? The free versions will be a month or so behind.
Have you also checked Transunion?1 -
@LM1186 I'll second what your broker has said, nothing to infer one way or the other from the search showing or not showing.

Different lender but we took out a mortgage with HSBC in 2020 and none of the credit checks showed up on our files. All went through fine without any drama.1
