From bunting to baking, drawing to knitting – there are countless ways that you can get creative to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Everyone is invited to submit their handmade Jubilee-inspired creations for the chance to win top prizes.  But it’s not all about winning, it’s about joining together with your family and friends to celebrate The Queen’s 70 years of service.

Great prizes to won

• The top prize winner will celebrate the Jubilee with a regal weekend in Windsor.  Prize includes travel, accommodation and sightseeing trips. Plus, £500 to spend at Hobbycraft. There will also be a runner-up prize of £250 to spend at Hobbycraft.
• All submissions will be entered into a draw and one winner – selected at random – will receive £500 to spend at Hobbycraft.
• One Junior prize winner (Under 13s only) will win a Merlin Annual Pass (worth over £800) and £500 to spend at Hobbycraft.   There will also be a Junior runner-up prize of £250 to spend at Hobbycraft.

Mail and Hobbycraft – Crafting for the Queen Competition (April 2022)

Conditions of entry

1. This competition (the "Competition") is only open to UK residents, excluding Northern Ireland and excluding employees and agents of (a) the Promoter or (b) Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) and/or any company connected with the production or distribution of this Promotion, as well as their relatives or members of their family or household.
2. Any entrant who is under the age of 18 on the day they enter the Competition must obtain permission from their parent or guardian, and before entering and their parent and guardian must agree to these terms and conditions
3. The Competition is free to enter at www.MailHobbycraft.co.uk
4. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been submitted elsewhere or have won a prize in any other competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject (as applicable) and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph of the image(s) they are submitting is their own work and that, as applicable, they own the copyright for it. If any content uploaded shows any person under the age of 16, you must be the parent, or legal guardian, of that said person and you give the Promoter full permission for the content to be displayed. The Promoter reserves the right to contact an entrant for further clarification if necessary.
5. ANL and the Promoter reserve the right to use the entrant’s entry to market the Competition or showcase the work of the Promoter. This includes but is not limited to website, email, press, social media, and printed materials. The Promoter reserves the right to contact entrants to the competition for general marketing purposes using the contact details provided.
6. Copyright in all images submitted for this draw remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the draw, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licenseto feature any or all of the submitted images in any of the Promoter’s publications, websites, social media platforms and/or in any promotional material connected to this draw.
7. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any entry for any reason at its absolute discretion.
8. The decisions of the Competition Judges is final. Neither correspondence nor discussions concerning any decision shall be entered into.
9. Hobbycraft reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it has reasonable grounds to believe you have breached any of these terms and conditions.
10. The Promotion will start at 00:01 Saturday, April 9, 2022 and the closing time/date for the Promotion is 23:59 on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Winner

1. Hobbycraft will convene an independent judging panel (‘the Judges’) to select finalists and Junior winners that in their view are the most deserving of the Competition Prize.
2. The finalist and the two Junior prizes will selected by a judging panel from all eligible entries, held w/c May 2, 2022.
3. The overall and runner-up winners will be decided by public vote. Details of which will be posted on MailHobbycraft.co.uk from May 12, 2022.
4. The winners will be notified by the Promoter by email or telephone and will be given details of how to accept their prize. Failure by the winner(s) to accept the prize in the manner specified within one of the Promoter's email will make any claim invalid and the Promoter will then select another winner (again selected randomly in a draw) from all remaining eligible entries who will be contacted as above.

3. The surname and county of the Competition winners will be available after the closing date by submitting a written request to the Promoter.
4. Entrants agree to provide reasonable cooperation to allow ANL and the Promoter to use the name and entrant’s submitted photography for publicity purposes in connection with this Competition, including ANL’s and the Promoter’’ websites and social media platforms. In addition, if you have submitted an entry and in consideration of the Promoter granting a right to enter the Promotion, entrants agree to grant the Promoter a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to any materials contained in the entry (including but not limited to text, images or video materials) (the “Materials”) worldwide and/or to incorporate the Materials in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in the Materials. By submitting Materials to the competition, an entrant:
   1. warrants that the Materials are its own original work and that it has the right to make them available for all the purposes specified above; that it does not infringe any law; that it is not obscene or libellous; and that it does not violate the rights of any third party;
   2. agrees to indemnify the Promoters against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred as a result of a breach of the above warranty;
   3. agrees to waive any moral rights in the Materials for the purposes of its submission to, and publication by, the Promoter and the purposes specified above.

1. Any personal information provided to ANL during the entry process (including but not limited to your name, e-mail address, telephone number and date of birth) must be correct. ANL accepts no responsibility for any incorrect personal information provided to us.

3. General

1. The determination and decision of the ANL and the Promoter on all matters shall be final and no promotional correspondence or discussion will be entered into. ANL reserves the right in its reasonable discretion: (a) to disqualify any claimant, competitor or nominee whose conduct is contrary to the spirit of the rules or the intention of the promotion and to declare as void any or all of their claims or entries based on such conduct; (b) to declare as void any claims or entries resulting from any printing, production and/or distribution errors (including but not limited to any error(s) on any website of the Promoter, any game cards and/or other printed materials) or where there has been error(s) in any aspect of the preparation for or conduct of the promotion materially affecting the result of the promotion or the number of claimants or the value of claims; (c) to add to or to waive any rules on reasonable notice; and/or (d) to cancel the promotion or any part of it at any stage in the event of circumstances beyond the Promoter's reasonable control.
2. No entries will be accepted in bulk, from agents or third parties.
3. To the fullest extent permitted by law (and subject to paragraph 24 below), the Promoter hereby excludes all warranties, representations, covenants and liabilities (whether express or implied) relating to this Promotion and/or the prize.
4. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the Promoter's liability for: (i) death or personal injury as a result of its negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
5. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend or cancel the Promotion should virus, bugs, tampering, fraud or other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter corrupt or hinder the administration, security or proper play of the Promotion.
6. If any of the provisions of these terms and conditions are held to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part that part shall be severed from the remainder of the provisions and the validity of the other provisions and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.
7. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
