Hi all
Decided to remortgage without the use of a broker for the 1st time. Got AIP and subsequent full application on 30th March, 31st March Valuation requested (they did say it could be in person or it may not), only asked for 1 payslip (they are our current account providers) and then queried a AFC absence on a payslip which was immediately responded to.
Everything referred to underwriting and I've received an email to say that underwriting has approved the mortgage and we will be "updated on our progress of the application once they've received the outcome of the valuation checks"
Legal fees included in the mortgage illustration but not heard anything yet.
Is this all heading in right direction........

@clarzier Looks like the offer will be issued once the valuation report is returned and confirmed ok.
If the valuation was instructed on the 31st but the valuer hasn't been in touch with you to arrange a visit yet then it's probably a desktop valuation.
Nothing to worry about as far as I can tell

Hopefully you are applying with plenty of time before your existing deal ends ?
Several threads on here about time taken when using Optima Legal.
As this is a Remortgage and not a purchase again Hopefully it goes smoothly1
