Private OEIC in a SIPP

My partner and extended family have managed to build up sizeable pensions. Some with standard PP's and my own personal in existing SIPPs. We are exploring the idea of establishing a Private OEIC and appointing someone like Quilter/ Rathbones to run the daily investment by mandate provided by the family. I have seen this done in a personal capacity but never seen set up through a SIPP for example. Can this be done by the remainder of the family establishing SIPPs then holding units in the private OEIC? Anyone got any experience of this?

Thanks in advance

Depends if your SIPP provider would be prepared to offer it as an investment option within the SIPP, so you need to start by checking with them how they'd react to such a proposal.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

Are you sure you need to go down a Private OEIC route? I expect you could get a discretionary wealth management service for less cost. This is how this sort of bespoke service is normally provided. You should be able to get a discount on the charges as all the family members will be investing in a single bespoke portfolio.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
