Check your British Gas bills

Since I was forced to move to BG after the failure of my supplier last summer my billing has been erratic and incorrect ever since. It doesn't help that their staff do not understand the difference between a kWh and a m3 (their customer service manager felt I was unreasonable to expect them to know what number they want on a meter read or the difference between the two).

I have two "smart" meters.  The Gas still works supposedly, but the electric doesn't.  Thus, I have to provide a manual electric reading each month.  Fine, expect, they rarely actually include the gas reading on the bill!  So, you make contact and they confirm they have both readings but just didn't bill it.

I have raised a complaint about their billing process.  They have "Bill cancelled & replaced" 7 of my last 10 "bills".  From 1st March alone, by bill have changed from £416 (twice) to £277 (three times - and still wrong!)

Moral of the story - please double check your bills as you might be in for a nasty surprise if you haven't noticed that they forgot one of your fuel types.
