I had a letter from TSB a few days ago, can someone explain?: "When you applied for a mortgage or further advance with us ( ie over 20 yrs ago), we calculated how much you could afford to borrow based on your income and commitments. We've discovered an issue with the way we assessed the affordability of your mortgage. We are sorry this has happened."

No Cheques, They have apologised but won't tell me what exactly was the shortcoming on their part. They have been very cagey about it.0
