Buying house together with Mother in law but MIL not on the mortgage - tax?

    Shame all the joint proprietor sole borrower options got droped by lenders.
    @getmore4less HSBC (direct only, not through brokers) and Firstdirect still offer this. I don't know of any other lenders that do.

    Thanks sure there were reports here they dropped them.

    I remember the case where none of the borrowers were on the title


    Could be the solution  for the op they all go on the legal title with their respective  beneficial shares TIC with the MIL signing over fist call to the lender should those  borrowing the money fail to pay.

    There are lenders who will consider ignoring the age of borrowers who don't have any income, but don't know off of the top of my head whether they accept more than 2 applicants.
