Solar Panels Questions

We have a free standing concrete Comptons garage (with fibre apex rof) 18 feet by 7 feet - that runs North South
The roof is not in shadow at all.- and (on sunny days) - both faces are in sunlight for a good 12 hours during the summer
Is it possible to fit PV panels to this ?
I believe that we could fit 6 (3 feet by 4 feet) panels to the roof on either side
The garage is around 30 feet away from the house - so feed cable could be a problem
Would the roof panels have to be cut in to to mount the panels or would they mount on the existing (lengthened) panel mounting bolts ?
Is this feasible ?
Also - since the angle is 90 degrees away from Optimal (The "spine" runs N - S) - Is it worth angling the panels up by a few degrees to capture more sunlight ?
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

This thread would be better in "Green and Ethical" where most of the solar power discussion takes place:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/green-ethical-moneysavingYes, you probably can have solar panels fitted to your garage. Exactly how they would attach would down to the installer to determine. You'll obviously need an electrical connection to your house, probably buried in a trench. You can see a table of typical solar panel sizes here; 1200x900mm (4x3 feet) is quite small and limits your options considerably. It's more likely that panels in landscape format will work better, eg. three panels 1765x1048mm on each side.Having your array split in two, half facing east and half west, will flatten the peak of your midday generation but will give you more power in the morning and evening, which could be a good thing.N.
