Provident Group
Options
I received my letter of settlement from Provident Group, which breaks down as follows
Loan Info
Initial Loan £600 (affordable)
Subsequent loans X9 (unaffordable) - total value £4K
Outstanding balance - £1000 (three loans - which I was not aware of)
Outcome
Payout - £0
Outstanding balance - Cleared
Now I am not sure why I would leave an outstanding balance on any loans, however the loans only have ID Numbers on them and no date taken. I suppose I am happy that these have been cleared but I was unaware of the outstanding. Do I ask for statements to proof the outstanding balance or do I leave it as is.

Why bother, they have been written off anyway, probably some old account you rolled over a few times, each roll over was classed as a new loan, if they were within the last 6 years, they will show on your credit file.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
