Employer changing pay date

not a major one but employer changing pay day from 31st to 26th of the month without consultation.

will the first pay be a normal month’s salary or will it be a reduced rate (as only 26 days since last pay date)

thanks to all you clever people

It's worth asking them. Most employees paid on the 26th receive pay for that whole month, i.e. 26 days in advance,4 in arrears, so I would would have thought the pay amount is unchanged.
At my last job, they moved from 26th to 15th and this was the case.

I agree - never worked anywhere that pays that much in advance.  Most likely 26 in arrears, 2/3/4/5 in advance.

However hard we rub our crystal balls, this is the only answer, because only they will know!

Although I'd also expect the payment to be for the full calendar month.

I worked at one place where the employer brought forward the month's pay by a week; it was still the month's salary and I just got the last week's pay in advance.

Thanks all. I will let you all know but looks like it won’t change. I’ve asked the employer but expect to wait until payday for an answer 🤣
